WILSON COMPANY LTD., we like to define our service as machining solutions rather than machining products. There is a marked difference after all. We recognize that the equipment we use, although cutting-edge, is only a means to an end. Innovative solutions, in the form of the highest quality finished products available, is the true aim of SMC and the only mark of a completed project and satisfied customer.
We cater to a variety of industries including:
- Conveyor systems (mining, shipping, conveyor power turns).
- Aircraft ground support equipment (fuel carriers, luggage carriers, etc).
- Product carrier systems (valves for tank cars in trucks, railcars, etc).
- Oilfield service equipment (drilling rigs, fracturing equipment, valves, etc.)
These are the industries we currently focus on but we are always up for a new challenge. After all, we’re about machining solutions and many times that has pulled us into new industries that demand new and innovative results.
In terms of our technical capabilities we are experienced in and capable of fulfilling large and small orders across a wide range of precision machining. No matter what you need we can do it. We stock a wide range of materials but we are always willing to make accommodations for our clients, including working with material you already have.

Drawing from a wide background in groundcare, W.C.L realises, as much as any other supplier, that it doesn’t stop at just selling a machine.
Machinery demonstrations play a prominent part in the STM culture. A potential customer is never going to know for certain if one of our machines will do the job unless he can actually see one at work on his own territory. We can either arrange a demo direct with our dealer, or arrive with one of our own fleet of demonstration machines.
You’ve bought the machine…..but it still doesn’t stop there, because the next thing we do is supply you with the training so that your operators can be up and running with maximum efficiency as soon as possible.
You’ve bought the machine…..and you need a spare part. Well, telling you you can’t have a replacement belt for a fortnight isn’t any use to anyone. So, again, our dealers keep certain stocks – or, alternatively, we keep a huge stock at the main site in KENT. We at STM pride ourselves on our reputation for quick turnaround of spares orders.
You’ve bought the machine……and you need it servicing. No problem. Our workshop is fully fitted out and available to do your winter servicing – or, alternatively, talk to your STM dealer.
For a six-year period that ended in 2012, WILSON COMPANY LTD. operate a 15,000 tons-per-day open-pit gold mine five miles east of London, South London. WILSON COMAPNY LTD. provided machines, parts, and more than a dozen certified technicians on the site of the mine, which operated 24 hours per day, seven days a week. Our round-the-clock maintenance efforts included providing fuel, lube, and preventative maintenance services during machines’ early life cycles, and major rebuilds and component replacement in their later life cycles. We also set up an onsite Parts warehouse, with nightly parts deliveries, to better meet the 24-hour demand. We’re proud to say that our dedication enabled KRMC to minimize downtime and provide steady employment for more than 100 people.
